My journey in Design

My design journey began over 12 years ago, quite unexpectedly, while on holiday in Greece. I discovered my passion for quality craftsmanship and timeless aesthetics when I sourced my first pieces of designer furniture from the renowned Papadatos showroom. At the time, I was managing a renovation for a family member and found the local market offerings lacking in both quality and affordability. Seizing the opportunity, I negotiated for showroom pieces at a great price, which sparked my love for natural lines and textures. This project included custom-made wardrobes, imported Italian kitchen cabinetry, and a full suite of furniture for a modern open-plan dining area and two bedrooms.

Design Philosophy and Style

I am deeply inspired by contemporary design, but I am equally comfortable embracing the warmth of mid-century modern or the vibrant character of a Victorian home. I believe in the power of colour and texture, and I am not afraid to incorporate bold choices if it aligns with the client’s vision. For example, I recently completed a full refurbishment of a two-bedroom Victorian house in just 6 weeks, combining new and pre-loved furniture to fit the space constraints, especially given the narrow entryways typical of older homes in London.

Global Influences and Industry Experience

My design sensibilities are influenced by trends from Italy, France, Denmark, and the United States, with a particular admiration for the ceramic craftsmanship of Italy and Spain. I have experience working with a variety of premium furniture brands, including Ligne Roset, Ethan Allen, West Elm, Bo Concept, Natuzzi,and Ikea. In recent years, I’ve become well-versed in British furniture design, often advising clients on how to seamlessly blend classic British pieces with international styles.
